Slumdog bags 8 Oscar awards – Jai Ho!

This is definitely a proud moment for everyone waiting for the Oscars in India as Slumdog Millionaire has bagged 8 academy awards out of which three awards went to the music department. To be specific about the awards, Rahman bagged two (Best Original Score and Best Song) and Resul Pookutty won one for Sound Mixing.

Overall, Slumdog has bagged 8 awards out its 10 nominations.
