Management Programme

IGNOU invites applications for the following Degree/Diploma Programme in Management:

Master of Business Administration (MBA)
Diploma in Management (DIM)
Postgraduate Diploma in Management (PGDIM)
Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resource Management (PGDHRM)
Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Management (PGDFM)
Postgraduate Diploma in Operations Management (PGDOM)
Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing Management (PGDMM)

All the above programmes have multi-media design, using technology aided delivery systems. These are offered through countrywide network of study centres. The Unviersity will be admitting the students for the above degree/diplomas in Management starting from January 2008 and July 2008 through an Entrance Test ‘OPENMAT-XXII’ to be held on Sunday, the August 19, 2007 all over the country.

Eligibility for Admission:

Bachelor’s Degree +3 years’ Supervisory/ Managerial/ Professional experience* or Degree in Engineering/ Technology/ Medicine/ Architecture/ Company Secretaryship etc. or Master’s Degree in any subject. (The University may consider other degrees in this list of equivalent professional degree/qualification, if required.)

Note: Non-Graduates with 6 years Supervisory/ Managerial/ Professional experience* are eligible to apply for DIM only. The candidates who have completed 10+2 or its equivalent qualification will be treated as Non-Graduates.

*Experience means work experience during or after acquiring the qualification as specified. Work experience requirement of 3/6 years should be fulfilled as on 31st October, 2007 for January, 2008 and 30th April, 2008 for July, 2008 session.

There is no age bar for any of the Programmes.

Filled in form for Entrance Test ‘OPENMAT-XXII’ must reach, the Registrar (SR&E), IGNOU, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi â€“ 110068, by Registered Post/Speed Post on or before 30th June, 2007.

Bachelor of Education (BEd) Programme

The BEd programme offered by IGNOU is an innovative programme utilizing self instructional materials and information technology alongwith interactive personal contact programmes, The programme is essentially a judicious mix of theoretical and practical courses to develop in practicing teacher’s appropriate knowledge, skills, understanding and attitudes.

The BEd Programme of IGNOU is recognized by the NCTE vide their Letter No. F3/DL-83/99/7807-7812 dated 31.05.1999.

The admission to this programme is on the basis of an Entrance Test to be conducted on Sunday the August 19, 2007 all over the country.

Duration : 2 years

Medium of Instruction : English & Hindi

Eligibility for Admission:

1. A Bachelor’s degree or a higher degree from a recognized University.

2. In-service teachers with two years (2 years) full time teaching experience on temporary/permanent basis in a primary, secondary/higher/senior secondary school recognized by the Central or State Government or a Union Territory.

Candidates who are appearing in qualifying (Bachelor or a Higher Degree) examination can also apply. However, such candidates will be required to submit the proof of having passed the qualifying examination by 31st March, 2008 otherwise the provisional admission will stand cancelled and in such case no fee will be refunded by the university.

There is no age bar for the BEd Programme.

Filled in form should be sent at the concerned Regional Centre on or before 16th July, 2007.

Student Handbook & Prospectus for Management Programme & BEd Programme â€“ 2008, can be obtained from the Registrar (SR&E), IGNOU, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi â€“ 110068 and from all the Regional Centres of IGNOU whose addresses are given below by sending a sum of Rs. 550/- through a Demand Draft / IPO in favour of IGNOU payable at New Delhi / city of concerned Regional Centre or by paying Rs. 500/- in cash at the respective sale counters. Please write your name and address on the back of the DD/IPO. Last date for receipt of request for ‘Prospectus’ by post is 30th June, 2007.

Application form and prospectus can also be downloaded from the website: www.ignou.ac.in and sent along with a DD/IPO for Rs. 550/- in favour of IGNOU payable at New Delhi in case of Management Programme, and concerned Regional Centre in case of Bachelor of Education Programme by Registered/Speed Post to:

1. Registrar (SR&E), IGNOU, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi-110068 - Management Programme

2. Concerned Regional Centre â€“ Bachelor of Education Programme

Prospectus will be sent to such applicants after receipt of Rs. 550/- as explained above.
